Companionship

Rachel J. Peters’ music/theatre adaptation of Arthur Phillips' COMPANIONSHIP is a domestic comic tragedy in nine scenes.
Recovering from a nervous breakdown in present-day Waukesha, Wisconsin, Leslie Sinclair finally reaches the end of her obsessive quest to bake the perfect baguette when the 207,345th one comes to life. At once intense and absurd, sad and silly, catchy and dissonant, this chamber opera is the story of what happens when what we consume becomes all-consuming.
Directed by Bob McGrath, with mesmerizing projections by Laurie Olinder
